TRACT therapy: Unlocking the transformative and healing power of the NDE
What is TRACT?
TRACT is Trauma Reduction Afterlife Communication Therapy, described as EMDR on steroids. EMDR is Eye Movement and Desensitization and Reprocessing, an evidence based treatment of trauma.
Facilitated afterlife communications in a therapeutic setting can lead to the healing of trauma and forgiveness of self and others. This therapy can result in a dramatic rewriting of the script of a client's life with the rapid resolution of dysfunctional symptoms.
Near death experiences often are transformative and healing. Persons enter into a domain consisting of unconditional love and nonjudgmental wisdom and meet those who have passed from this physical reality. They interact with a healing energy that can transform lives. Modern scientific research verifies the objective reality of this domain.
Ancient Buddhist and Jewish writings document that this domain can be accessed during our earthly lifetime. The modern afterlife communication literature affirms this.
We have developed a novel therapy in which the client enters into a safe place within the mind. While in this safe place, the client accesses this same domain experienced at the point of death. Victims of trauma can then interact with relatives, perpetrators of the trauma, and/or other persons important to the events which dictate the story of the client’s life. This therapy is useful for those with PTSD and survivors of abuse and trauma, or anyone desiring to rewrite a dysfunctional life script.
Jeffrey Smith, PsyD, is a former Navy Fighter Pilot who underwent the Navy's studies on how acceleration effects human consciousness. These studies were essential in determining exactly how fast a fighter jet can accelerate without harming the pilot. An unanticipated finding of the studies was that as the fighter pilot's approached speeds which produced coma and near death, they had near death experiences. Jim Whinnery Phd MD was the lead investigator of these studies.
Dr. Smith had a near death experience as a result of his participation in these studies. He left the military to become a family therapist specializing in the treatment of trauma and post traumatic stress disorder. With Shellee Hale, Dr. Smith and I presented our treatment protocol at the International Society for the Study of Trauma and Dissociation in November of 2011. Our paper is Morse ML, Hale S, Smith J: Spiritual Intuition: A Core Compentency in the Lifelong Management of PTSD and Dissociation: Wisdom in the Making.
I wrote a chapter in a psychiatric textbook on the healing aspects of dissociation which contains a review of Dr. Smith's work and life history. Spiritist and Mental Health Practices from Spiritist Centers and Spiritist Psychiatric Hospitals in Brazil.
